EVENTS

Tag Archery

Kids and grown-ups alike took part in an exhilarating ‘Tag Archery’ event at the local park. 

The session encompassed target shooting, competitive games, and adherence to a Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). 

Participants refined their abilities, formed relationships via good-natured competition, and enhanced their spiritual engagement. 

All in all, the gathering was a triumphant and unforgettable occasion.

Boys Go-Karting

The Kids enjoyed the end of their Summer holidays with a fun trip involving Go- Karting.

The boys enjoyed the healthy competition, making lasting friendships and unforgettable laughs.

Monthly Talk: Calm in Chaos

In the times of riots and chaos surrounding the Muslims of the UK, Shaykh Haitham Al- Haddad delivered an enlightening and uplifting talk on how to stay calm and come out of this difficulty as a better Muslim. 

Shaykh discussed the mentality of successful individuals and emphasized the importance for Muslims living in Western societies to position themselves strategically in order to propagate Islam and achieve success in their endeavors . 

May Allah (swt) reward Shaykh for all his efforts, Ameen.

Being the Best Version of Ourselves

Shaykh Shabbir Ahmad Kakakhel from Pakistan delivered an uplifting and enlightening talk on tips every Muslim should act upon to be the ‘best version’ of themselves.

Shaykh discussed the problems Muslims face today and how to counter these issues as well as, how to move forward.

May Allah (swt) reward Shaykh for all his efforts, Ameen. 

EDUCATION

Holding onto Coals

During a series of workshops and discussions organized by Ad-Duha, teenagers aged 11-15 were equipped with the necessary tools to navigate the challenges of secondary school life. 

The topics covered included dealing with peer pressure, building healthy friendships, addressing bullying, understanding issues related to LGBT, social media usage, the dangers of vaping and drugs, the importance of Salah, showing respect towards parents, understanding puberty, and combating atheism while holding onto one’s faith. 

The teenagers gained valuable insights and formed friendships while strengthening themselves spiritually for the upcoming year.

The Fiqh of Nikah and Talaq

Mufti Sajad conducted a comprehensive and enlightening session on the principles governing marriage and divorce. 

He drew insights from the marital relationships of the prophets and respected scholars of the past, emphasizing the key attributes essential for a successful marriage. 

This intensive weekend workshop took place from 3pm to 7pm on both Saturday and Sunday, offering a deep understanding of the topics covered and providing participants with course materials for further study.

COMMUNITY

Chai and Chat

Chai and Chat was buzzing with activity, warm drinks and conversation.

There were various themes for the Kahoot quizzes which gave participants a chance to prepare beforehand.

Coffee Mornings

This month, sisters gathered for enlightening discussions revolving around parenting.

Everyone shared their stories, experiences and opinions, encouraging everyone to strive to build the next generation. Topics such as Salah, facing social media, building gratitude and positivity as well as teaching Quran to children were all discussed.
