Tajweed and Salah
Tajweed is a Quranic science which helps the student to correct mistakes in recitation and become a more proficient reciter of the Holy Quran.
Students begin their journey of recitation by focusing primarily on correct pronunciation and articulation of the letters as well as learning how to recognise and becoming comfortable with the Arabic script.
Once comfortable with correct pronunciation, students then progress to more complex rules of reading and reciting (Tajweed) are taught. By the end of the course, students will insha’Allah have attained a high standard of Tajweed as well as learned various Surahs.
In order to deepen the impact of the prayer in our lives, the Salah will also be taught as well as its translation.
In an age of disconnect from revelation, there is a greater need for understanding the meanings of the Quran. Barriers have been erected that block the light of the Quran, barriers that need demolishing.
This subject is an attempt to help demolish these barriers so that students begin to walk in the light of the Quran and apply its teachings to their daily lives.

Fiqh is an important subject for every individual to learn.
Learn the absolute essentials of worship that is obligatory for every Muslim to know in these practical, vital classes on the basics of faith, purification, prayer and central points related to one’s everyday life
Being the most important person in the life of a Muslim, it is essential for us to be well acquainted with our Prophet peace be upon him.
The Prophet peace be upon him said, ‘none of you (truly) believes until I am more beloved to him than his own soul.’ (Ahmad, Sahih). Due to the deep love the early Muslims had for the holy Prophet (peace be upon him) they narrated every detail they could find.
In this class, we look at the gems in some of the many narrations collected so we too have the ability to connect with the blessed Prophet (peace be upon him) like the early Muslims did.
Living in a non-Arabic speaking environment most of us encounter Arabic in the written form and long for the ability to understand the blessed Quran we recite.
This class will focus on enabling students to understand classical Arabic as encountered in the Quran, Hadith and other sources.

Frequently Asked Questions
Some Regular questions asked, if your question is not listed please do ask via the Contact Us page.
Do I have to attend every class?
Due to the fact that each subject is taught individually, you can attend any lesson you wish. However, we do recommend you to try to attend as many as possible as each subject covers a different branch of Islamic Knowledge.
Are your teachers qualified?
All teachers are qualified in subjects that they teach. They all have relevant qualifications in Tajweed, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Aqeedah, Fiqh, Seerah, etc.
Can I bring my children? Is there a separate facility for them?
As the course material can be intensive at times, and complete concentration is important for understanding, we recommend sisters not to bring small children as it can be distracting for both mothers and other sisters. If children are brought along, they will be the responsibility of mothers.
I attend the sisters classes which have been very beneficial for me
They have helped me to correct my quran and salah, and the talks i have attended are always relatable to our lives today.
I think it is important to not only encourage your children but also yourself to improve your deen so the sisters classes are a must for all mothers
