At Ad–Duha institute, we understand that living in these times, we need a constant source of motivation to keep us connected to our religion. For this purpose, we have started free classes for sisters of the local community to benefit.
Classes are taught both in English and Urdu.
Our Sisters Classes curriculum has been developed in a manner by which both beginner and advanced students can benefit, regardless of any prior education. The syllabus covers core subjects- each subject caters for students of all levels unless otherwise stated.

Mondays - Tajweed
Tajweed is a Quranic science which helps the student to correct mistakes in recitation and become a more proficient reciter of the Holy Quran.
Students begin their journey of recitation by focusing primarily on correct pronunciation and articulation of the letters as well as learning how to recognise and becoming comfortable with the Arabic script.
Once comfortable with correct pronunciation, students then progress to more complex rules of reading and reciting (Tajweed) are taught. By the end of the course, students will insha’Allah have attained a high standard of Tajweed as well as learned various Surahs.
In order to deepen the impact of the prayer in our lives, the Salah will also be taught as well as its translation.
Tuesdays - Coffee Mornings and Muslimas of the Past
Do you need motivation, feel a bit lost and would like some company with other sisters striving towards the same goal?
Come to our Sisters Coffee Mornings and meet other newcomers with similar feelings in a halal socialising environment.
These Coffee Mornings are a great opportunity to relax, unwind and get creative (no registration required!)
What exactly is the role and importance of a women in Islam? Come and join us every Tuesday morning as we improve our day-to-day life by delving into the lives of our role models – the female pious predecessors and discuss some lessons and gems from their lives.
Wednesdays - Lives of the Imams and Stories of the Prophets (Urdu)
In a time where we are looking for role-models, come and join us as we delve into the past to study the life of some of the greatest and most prominent figures in the history of Islam.
Followed by our renowned Urdu Dars, intending to cover the Stories of the Prophets beginning with Adam (as)
Thursday - Reverts Classes and Manners of a Muslimah
New to Islam? Or just looking to brush up on the basics? Join us for an explanation of a clear, concise and comprehensive introduction to Islam. The course is designed to include what every Muslimah should know as well as those things that are essential to a proper understanding of the overall vision and spirit of Islam.

Allah Almighty made Our Prophet (s.a.w) the best and perfect example for the people and sent him for perfecting good morals. It is the basis of our success in daily life. Come and join us as we work on refining the self, improving our character, and beautifying our practice of Islam.

What times do the classes run?
Classes run from 9:30am – 11:30am
Monday to Thursday
Do I have to attend every class?
Due to the fact that each subject is taught individually, you can attend any lesson you wish. However, we do recommend you to try to attend as many as possible as each subject covers a different branch of Islamic Knowledge.
How much do the classes cost?
The classes are completely free of charge, so make sure to take benefit and bring your friends and family along so that they can benefit too
Are your teachers qualified?
All teachers are qualified in subjects that they teach. They all have relevant qualifications in Tajweed, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Aqeedah, Fiqh, Seerah, etc.
Can I bring my children? Is there a separate facility for them?
As the course material can be intensive at times, and complete concentration is important for understanding, we recommend sisters not to bring small children as it can be distracting for both mothers and other sisters. If children are brought along, they will be the responsibility of mothers.
I attend the sisters classes which have been very beneficial for me
They have helped me to correct my quran and salah, and the talks i have attended are always relatable to our lives today.
I think it is important to not only encourage your children but also yourself to improve your deen so the sisters classes are a must for all mothers
