At Ad-Duha institute, we understand the need to aid children in their learning, whether it be in Islamic education or in their school studies.
Ad-Duha Weekend school is a productive and cost-effective way to encourage and inspire your children to learn the secular school subjects as well as Islamic Education.
We aim to provide a flexible approach to cater for each individual need that a student may have.
Our qualified teachers have years of teaching experience in schools. They create individual learning plans by understanding students’ abilities and focusing in on areas that they need help with.
There are two levels each focusing on the relevant topics for its age group,
Tuition: In this level we help children from the age of 9 with their 11+ exams and SATS.
Tajweed: Students work on their Makharij and fluency. Once they’re at a good level they move onto the Tajweed rules
Islamic Studies: Students study the comprehensive text and work books from Safar Academy, which contains all the necessary topics such as: Qurʾānic stories, Islamic tenets of faith (ʿaqīdah), religious rulings (fiqh) and major episodes from the life of Prophet Muḥammad, as well as areas of personal development, in an age-appropriate manner
Surah’s and Dua’s: Students are taught the essential surah’s they would regularly recite in their prayers and duas for all important parts of a Muslim’s life
Tuition: In this level we help children from the age of 13 prepare for their GCSE’s
Tajweed: Students who havent learnt tajweed work on their Makharij and fluency. Once they’re at a good level they move onto the Tajweed rules
Students who have done a bit of Tajweed are taught the advance rules of Tajweed by highly qualified ustadh’s
Islamic Studies: We not only give students information but also advise, giving practical tips relevant to young Muslims. This enables them to increase their knowledge, deal with emotional and mental issues faced during adolescence, and strengthen their life skills, confidence and Islamic practice. The national curriculum has been thoroughly consulted in order to ensure the content taught is relevant, appropriate and meaningful to young Muslims and teachers today.
We follow a unit based structure, featuring units such as Essential Knowledge, Essential Beliefs, Fiqh (rituals and rulings), Islamic History, Contemporary Issues, Islam and the Social world and Spiritual and Moral development
Surah’s and Dua’s: Students who haven’t had the chance to learn the basic surah’s before, are taught the essential surah’s they would regularly recite in their prayers and duas for all important parts of a Muslim’s life
Students who have learnt the basic surah’s and dua’s are moved on to more difficult surah’s and dua’s
