End of Year Conference 2022: The Modern Age
On the 31st of December, we held our annual End of Year Conference.
Alhamdulillah, beneficial advice and inspiring reminders were given by Mufti Muhammad Sajjad on the Challenges of the modern age, by Shaykh Shahrul Hussein on Islam and modern Western civilisation and by Shaykh Ahmed Kapelle on Islam in the life of a busy millennial.
The Top Student award was also given out to the following for their excellent work and achievement:

Students of the Maktab programme recited Quran together beautifully and a presentation was done on the projects Ad-Duha has completed over the past year.
May Allah s.w.t accept the efforts of all Shaykhs, students, teachers, volunteers and attendees.
Boys to Men: Overnight Retreat
This month, Boys to Men participated in an overnight retreat with a stayover in the Masjid.
The experience was both educational and engaging with workshops on various essential Islamic topics, Qiyaam with the brothers and open Q&A till late at night.
The boys also enjoyed party games and Kahoot, yummy Pizza and breakfast and a competitive Penalty Shootout.
Pearls: Escape Room
This session, our Pearls Youth club participated in an escape room challenge.
The girls worked together to solve puzzles and open locked doors in the time limit.
2 out of 3 teams were able to escape their rooms successfully with the third coming very close to escaping.
EDUCATION
Maktab Classes: Life of Prophet Isa a.s
ith a focus on the life of Prophet Isa (a.s) this month, students have been looking at key differences between Islam and Christianity with regards to Prophet Isa (a.s).
Students have also been learning about the background of Christmas and the early life of Maryam (a.s)
COMMUNITY
Chai & Chat
Chai and Chat was a treat this month with everyone gathering for some friendly conversations and family fun
Brothers, sisters and children took part in a challenging and competitive Kahoot game 🎉

Sisters Coffee Mornings: Inspiring Sahabiyat
This month, the lives of two inspiring Sahabiyat were focused on opening discussions on
inspiring women role models and setting our aims high.
