December was a vibrant month filled with meaningful events that brought our community closer together.

From the enriching Homeschoolers’ session on the story of ‘Isa (‘alayhi al-salam) to the successful Ad Duha charity sale supporting our new masjid project, each gathering left a lasting impact. Families enjoyed creative activities like the “Pearls: The Lost Stalls” escape room, while boys bonded at the Boys 2 Men sleepover through reflection and fun. Our young Maktab entrepreneurs raised over £3,000 for a worthy cause, Reverts connected through a Quran halaqah blending arts and reflection, sisters engaged in thought-provoking talks on the signs of the end times, and the jama‘ah shared a heartwarming breakfast together. These events highlighted the unity, learning, and generosity of our community, leaving us inspired for the year ahead.

Subhanallah, what an eventful month it has been!

From the biggest event in our history, the charity dinner, the restart of our boys2men sessions, The delicious food stalls, The start of the Quran halaqah for sisters and much more!

This was truly a memorable month here at Ad-duha.

This month at Ad- Duha, our educational classes and community events really captured the essence of ‘Family’.

Children learnt about the roles of parents and the constant struggles parents undergo to look after their children, parents made personal heartfelt cards for their children, the teenagers learnt how no friend can ever replace family, no matter how close they are.

Allah swt has made these unbreakable bonds and has surrounded each and every single one of us with the best family for us.

It is our duty to be kind, merciful and tolerating towards everyone, but especially our families and we take upon ourselves the words of the prophet Muhammad (saw), ‘The best of you are those who are best to their families.’ (Tirmidhi)
