EVENTS
Our Fundraising Campaign
Exciting news has spread far and wide—Ad-Duha have found a new building!
For those who have joined us over the years, you know our events have always been bustling, Alhamdulillah.
We are thrilled to announce that we’ve secured a larger and better location, just 40 seconds away from our current site.
As we embark on this new chapter, we are actively raising funds and encouraging our community and fellow Muslims to help spread the word and support our Masjid, Insha’Allah.
Every weekend, we’re hosting stalls featuring a variety of delicious foods outside Ad-Duha, with all proceeds going toward our new building campaign.
This month, we’ve sold burgers, fries, samosas, chaat, drinks and some lovely Biryani.
If you haven’t had a chance to enjoy the offerings yet, we invite you to check our weekly advertisements to see what’s on the menu.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Reverts Quran Journaling
This month, the reverts gathered for a unique and enriching experience: Quran journaling.
Despite its many benefits, this thoughtful practice remains unknown to many.
Quran journaling offers a productive way to reflect on Quranic ayahs and extract valuable lessons from the words filled with immeasurable wisdom.
The sisters truly enjoyed this different approach during our gatherings.
Our Revert Gatherings are open to all new Muslims seeking a fresh start and a meaningful connection to their faith.
Participate in upcoming activities, connect with fellow Muslims, and share your journey with others who have faced similar challenges.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Pearls: There's no Place like Home
This month, our Pearls Muslimah Youth Club session focused on the theme of family.
During a time when it’s easy for teenagers to feel disconnected, it’s crucial to remember the importance of staying close to those who will always have your back—your family.
The girls explored the vital roles different family members play and the contributions they make to our lives.
They shared their thoughts and the challenges they face, fostering a supportive environment.
To make the experience memorable, an arts and crafts activity was held, allowing them to create something to take home as a reminder of the special place family holds in their hearts.
All teenage girls are invited to join our Youth Club!
By registering for our events, they can connect with like-minded peers who are committed to personal growth and strengthening their Deen. We look forward to welcoming you!
EDUCATION
Homeschoolers: Honouring our Parents
This month at Ad- Duha, the homeschoolers learnt about the status of parents in Islam.
Together, mothers and children had some quality bonding time and did activities together inspiring unity and respect.
The children learnt about the command of ‘lowering for them the wings of humility out of mercy’ and made some crafts to remember this ayah and Insha’Allah act upon it as well.
To be a part of the Homeschoolers clubs, you can attend any of the future events Insha’Allah and take part in activities like this.
Sisters' Janazah Workshop
This month, we hosted our Janazah workshop for the community, covering essential topics such as what to do when a person passes away, the process of ghusl and shrouding the body, the life of the grave, and the Janazah Salah.
Alhamdulillah, many participants left with newfound knowledge that they hadn’t encountered before.
To help retain this important information, booklets were provided to everyone.
If you’re interested in participating in our future workshops, don’t hesitate to register and connect with the community of sisters at Ad-Duha. We look forward to seeing you!
COMMUNITY
Chai and Chat
This month at Chai and Chat, families gathered for an engaging Islamic-themed quiz, enjoying delicious snacks and refreshments along the way.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and a lively tension as participants’ scores fluctuated, creating an exciting competition.
Alhamdulillah, everyone left with a strengthened sense of belonging and community, enriched by their learning about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the many sacrifices he made for the entire Ummah.
The doors are open to everyone to come in and join us in fun and games as well as meeting people from the community and making lasting friendships.
Let’s Talk Islamic Counselling Sessions
In recent years, depression has reached unprecedented levels, leaving many feeling that happiness is a distant dream.
However, Islam offers profound solutions to these challenges.
For over a year, Ad-Duha has been providing Sisters Islamic counselling sessions, designed for those who feel hopeless, lost, or in need of a listening ear.
Alhamdulillah, we have remained committed to this important work throughout the month, offering support both over the phone and in person at the masjid.
May Allah (SWT) grant ease to all those who are suffering. Ameen.
Bring and Buy Coffee Morning
This month at Ad-Duha, significant efforts have been dedicated to fundraising for our upcoming building purchase, Insha’Allah.
Many community members, particularly sisters, brought an array of homemade baked goods to the masjid for sale, with all proceeds going directly toward the building fund.
The event drew a substantial turnout, and contributions were abundant, featuring a wide selection of food items.
In addition to fundraising through sales, activities for children enriched the event, including an interactive Storytime session and an engaging Kahoot quiz.
These activities added to the welcoming atmosphere, encouraging participation from families and fostering community spirit.
We warmly invite you to join any of our future events, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet our friendly and committed community, Insha’Allah.
Sisters’ Coffee Mornings
The month of October has been rich with valuable lessons for the sisters in our local community, drawn from the inspiring lives of our beloved mothers of the believers.
We explored themes of generosity, patience, and fortitude, leaving sisters feeling uplifted after engaging in meaningful discussions about the Deen and hearing impactful Imaan boosters from our lectures.
Join us every Tuesday to experience the warmth of sisterhood at Ad-Duha and become a part of our growing community, Insha’Allah.
