Boys to Men: Brotherhood
The boys took part in a variety of workshops and discussions on dealing with differences and the meaning of brotherhood in Islam.
Working together was fun with group games including shipwrecked and spiderweb.
The session ended with prayer together in Jama’ah.
Knowledge - The Salvation of the Ummah: Shaykh Zahir Mahmood
Shaykh Zahir Mahmood gave a very inspiring reminder at Ad-Duha on the importance of knowledge and the salvation of the Ummah with examples throughout Islamic History. He also spoke about the importance of the Maktab system in British society and the benefits of Sadaqah Jariyah.
May Allah s.w.t accept all our Shaykh’s efforts and grant him a high rank in Jannatul Firdaws, Ameen.
Pearls: The Art of Cooking
Our Pearls sessions continued this month with a focus on the culinary arts and the contribution of the Muslim world.
The girls engaged in open discussions on the role serving people and cooking plays at home and in the greater society.
The session gave some inspiring examples from the past and tackled issues such as stereotypes related to cooking and kitchen in today’s modern world.
A cooking competition with a race to make the best Hors d oeuvres was the cherry on the cake…

Maktab Classes Restart
The children were back to their studies with a focus this month on reflection and achieving goals.
Students reflected on the progress they’d made during last year; events occurring around the world and also wrote a letter to their future selves about who they want to be in the future.
They also thought long and hard about their Islamic goals for the future.

Sisters Coffee Mornings: Four women of Jannah
Coffee mornings were a welcome treat after the holidays with inspiring reminders from the past to help us all get back on our feet.
Each lecture we delved into one of the lives of the four best women to walk on this earth (r.a).
