Honest Answers: ‘Should you make Hijrah?’
Living in the West, the topic of Hijrah rises to the spotlight time and time again. With Muslims facing difficulties and problems in the West, many have moved to Muslim- dominant countries or are thinking of doing so.
Brother Shazad Mohammed and Rafaqat Ali came and delivered an insightful session on their experiences living in Muslim countries for 10+ years. They answered some commonly asked questions regarding Hijrah and also took questions from the audience.

Homeschoolers: Loving the Messenger Muhammad (saw)
This month, the homeschoolers resumed their sessions and covered the topic of ‘Loving the messenger (saw)’ as it was the month of Rabi’ul Awwal.
The kids learned about the beautiful character of the prophet (saw) and covered extracts from the Seerah. They also did some arts and crafts to help maintain the information learnt.
Lifesavers: ‘Learn how to Save a Life’
Brothers and Sisters from BIMA (Birmingham Islamic medical association) came to Ad- Duha to deliver a free session and training to people in the local community on essentials that may save a person’s life.
They covered topics of how to deal with choking and giving essential first aid when it is needed most.
Overall, the local community learnt a lot and benefitted from the important practices and steps to take.
EDUCATION
The Sanatayn Course
Alhamdulillah, The students at Ad-Duha have enthusiastically started the Sanatayn course.
This course covers a variety of topics, including lessons derived from Hadeeth, a detailed study of the life of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and teachings on how to follow his example, Tafseer of the Qur’an which involves analysing the context of Surahs and linguistic aspects, as well as Fiqh to understand the Islamic rulings.
May Allah bless them to continue on this blessed journey to the very end
The Arabic and Tajweed Course
The new term for the Arabic and Tajweed course began. Alhamdulillah, students have come back after the holidays, ready to dive straight in.
With registrations being completely filled, classes are now packed with students dedicating their time to the book of Allah (swt).

Arabic Immersion Classes for Girls
Arabic Immersion classes are continuing in Ad Duha with new students and many of the previous ones moving on to more advanced spoken Arabic.
The students enjoy their classes and are more than happy to come in the early hours of the weekend to work on their speaking Arabic skills.
The New Beginnings Course
With a new term starting, the new beginnings course has restarted covering topics of vital importance for reverts and those wanting to learn the basics of their religion.
Topics such as Tajweed, Seerah, Islamic essentials and beliefs are taught in an informative and interactive way.
COMMUNITY
Chai and Chat
Chai and Chat was buzzing with activity, warm drinks and conversation.
There were various themes for the Kahoot quizzes which gave participants a chance to prepare beforehand.
Coffee Mornings
This month, the sisters were going through the different qualities of the wives of the prophet (saw).
Mothers, sisters and daughters all enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere filled with beneficial conversations and refreshments.
The talks revolved around different traits of the wives of the prophets and how we should implement these practices in our lives.
